Enchanted Garden Blog Layout

So today I'm sharing a layout made with the Enchanted Garden Collection that was actually one of my first ever layouts featured on the Kaisercraft Blog. I did the Tuesday Tip ( Adding extra Bling) and used this layout as an example.

How gorgeous is this collection??? I really didn't have to do much with these gorgeous papers to find a bit of magic on his page! LOL
I have been asked a bit about the paper flower though... so here's how you do it....

You simply layer 2 each of 3 different size punched or die cut paper flowers, secure them with a brad and run them under some water ( Or spritz them) and then scrunch them up into a tight little ball. Unfurl them gently and dry gently with a heat gun.

I actually learnt this technique in a class with Sue Smyth, if you want to see some spectacular handmade flowers, pop over to her blog for a look!

For this pink flower I actually used plain old photo copier white paper and when it came to the wetting process I used pink and brown glimmer mist. Instead of a brad in the center I used some stamens and finished the whole thing off with some glitter.

Thanks for popping by for a look!
Cheers from Kel.

Blast Off Cards

Hi again, I'm just back today to share a couple of quick cards made with the Blast Off Collection.

This is truly the cutest collection on our plannet!!

These are so bright and happy, card making is easy and very quick with this collection... I couldn't find  better papers for making little boys cards with... they would even suit little girls if you got the right background!

The good thing about the collectables pack is that it actually has heaps of the little aliens in it. I hate it when you can only get a couple of the best embellishments from a range, so it was great to find at least a dozen little aliens in this pack!

And that covers everything ... no techniques or wonderful effects... no eye catching products or stunning embellishments... just simple bright good clean fun!!! LOL

Thanks for looking.
Cheers from Kelly-ann

Miss Empire Cards

Today I'm sharing some cards I knocked up with the Miss Empire Collection.

This collection is full of contacts... beautiful orange and pinks all offset by deep greys and hard blacks. I didn't think I would enjoy working with orange so much, but as it turns out it's quite nice... like the softer cousin of red!

Cards are getting easier and easier to put together with the Kaisercraft papers and the matching die cuts, which is again all I have used here ... and some of that yummy organza ribbon ( I love that stuff!!).

Thanks for stopping by for look.

True Romance Cards

Just popping by to share a couple of cards I've made using the True Romance Collection.

For these cards I just stuck with paper from the 6.5 x 6.5" paper pad and die cut elements from the Collectables pack

Very clean. Very simple. Very Easy!

This collection has loads of lovely little birds in it that make scrapbooking and card making uber easy... I love these kinds of embellishments .... the kind that just slip into a design effortlessly... couple of rhinestones or pearls to finish and bob's your uncle. :)

If you haven't got your hands on this Collection yet, do yourself a favour and grab so... they are REALLY lovely!

Thanks for stopping by for a look.

Cheers from Kel.

Remember Me Cards

Hello.... I'm back today to share some cards made with the Remember Me Collection. All of my cards today have been made using the paper pad and collectables elements with a few rhinestones and sparklets thrown in for that extra bit of bling!!

AgainI just want to say.... I'm LOVIN all this red bliss!!
This truly is a collection made just for me. LOL

I used a heap of ink with these in order to create hues and floating borders, and on the card above I've used the Kaisercraft Doily mask to create the background pattern.

They are all very simple, easy to put together cards ( just the way I like my card making) but the striking colours really make them pop in real life.

The bold contrasting colours really are the most outstanding quality of this fabulous collection.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Cheers from Kelly-ann.

Bundle of Joy Cards

Today I'm sharing a few cards I made using the Bundle of Joy Collection

These truly are the most lovely of all the baby collections that Kaisercraft have ever released.
I found the cards really easy to make as the collectables really are perfect for card making.

The colours in this paper range are the real heros, soft and vintage they are so easy to work with for either layouts of cards. And the 'boy' papers are actually more of a mint than a true blue so you could use them for any baby theme.

Thanks for stopping by for a look.
Cheers from Kel.

Lavender Haze Cards

Just a few cards to share today using the Lavender Haze Collection.

These are all very simple and quick cards, made just through inking edges and layering up a few bits and pieces from the collectables pack.

This is quite an eclectic range to work with, and very feminine as well, but it does have the slightly grungy look to it as well which I think makes it a little bit more fun than the dainty girly papers you see so much of these days!! LOL

I quite liked working with dragon files for a change from butterflies as well!

Have a great day...
Cheers from Kel.

Class Act Cards

So today I have some cards to show you that I made up with the Class Act Collection.
At first I was stumped as to what I could actually do with this collection in regards to cards ... surely no one wants a 'Happy Birthday' card with school stuff all over it!!!?
(None of my kids would thats for certain!! LOL)

Then I realised there are lots of different occasions that a school themed card would appropriate for ... the top of the list would have to be a 'Get Well Soon' card for a sick or absent teacher ...
my little ones LOVED this idea
( the older ones laughed and said the only kind of card they would ever give to their teachers would be a 'Please DONT get well soon! card .... you gotta love teenagers!!)

There are also occasions like encouraging kids on their first day at a new school ( be it the first day of kindy, high school, uni or TAFE) or congratulating them on academic or sporting achievements.
So in the end I had plenty of inspiration for this set of 5 simple cards...
all made with just the paper pad and a few collectables.

Thanks for stoping by for look...
And congratulations to all the mums out there like myself for surviving the holidays... the kids head back to school tomorrow and I couldn't be happier for them  nor myself!! he he he.
Cheers from Kel

Pickled Pear Cards

Today I'm sharing some cards I have made from The Pickled Pear Collection ... just simple cards really, I used the paper pad, the collectables and some string ... not really much at all, but the cards are lovely and earthy and I'm sure will sell well on my little market stall.

I see some AMAZING cards out there in the blogosphere that totally inspire me, and probably the one person who has inspired me the most lately has been my mate Hilary from New Zealand... if you are able to you should definitely pop over and check out her work, she has a completely faithful style, constantly producing high quality beautiful projects that reflect her own love for paper craft.

Thanks for stoping by for a look.
Smiles from Kel.

Butterfly Kisses Cards

Oh my gosh I LOVE the Butterfly Kisses Collection ... how bright and fun they all are!!
These cards were a joy to make ... and between you and I just could have kept going ... it would be so easy to knock up a dozen cards using these coordinating elements.

Everything bright and beautiful is contained in these papers and I'm really drawn to them ... the only flaw in the collection is that they really are made for girls!!

I think the only collection I like more for card making was the 'Save the Date Collection' as that was very age and gender neutral ... buy hey .... this one is coming in a VERY close second!! LOL

Smiles from Kel.

Periwinkle Cards

This set of cards made using the Periwinkle Collection were great fun to knock up ... I'm LOVIN all the birds and ballons in this collection and the earthy colours are just so romantic!!

I'm sure my obsession with romance is the reason why I struggle so much with male cards... LOL.

Pearls feature a lot in these cards and they really bring something special to the canvas ... its the same with scrapbook pages, I find a few pearls always lift a page.

Thanks for dropping by for look,
Cheers from Kel.
