Attitude Cards

 I'm back with more Attitude!
Once again I've used many of my best 'boy tricks' on these cards made from the Attitude collection ... buttons, stitching, string, arrows ... I didn't go too over board here as I think guys prefer simple to tizzy so these cards remained nice and clean!
This collection certainly helped making guys cards a bit easier...
thanks for looking, Smiles from Kel.

Saturday Sketch #4 July 2012

So I just couldn't making this layout using the last bits of my Attitude kit ... I was dying to use this acetate over lay on SOMETHING!! LOL
The Acetate sheet made making this page INSANELY easy ... everything underneath is flat and simple, but with the over lay it just really pops.
Kaisercraft have a few of these 12x12 Acetate sheets... I haven't used them much in the past but I'm planning to change that in the future!!

So this is the sketch that the LO was based on ... tipped the right once...

As a mother of 6 this saying has got to be my all time favourite!!! LOL

A Layout with Attitude...

Today I have another layout made using the fun and grungy 'Attitude' collection from Kaisercraft. This layout is a bit of a second page to my previous layout using this range. Again this was really easy to pull together, these papers just take all the guess work of coordinating!! LOL

I'm still having a little addiction to string and safety pins which work wonderfully with all things boy! It's good to have these tools in my bag-of-scrapbook-tricks that I can pull out when needed. In fact when faced with male layouts of any kind I find myself starting with all the same basics .... buttons, wood flourishes, stars, string, grunge stamps, safety pins, bugs and circles. For feminine pages I always reach for butterflies, pearls, flowers and masks.

What formulas do you use for your scrapping?

Saturday Sketch #3 July 2012

Oh my gosh I found this sketch a challenge ... 4 photos on one single!!! I've used the Miss Match paper collection for this layout, I certainly didn't need much more as the page was mostly taken up by the photos. I couldn't resist the shrinky dinks though for the tea pot and cup!
And here is the sketch that it's based on...

Attitude Layout

Today I'm Introducing the 'Attitude' collection from Kaisercraft ... this is aimed squarely at the men/teenage boy market! LOL Lucky for me, I  have both in my life so I was thrilled to see this dynamic and grungy collection hit the shelves.

These papers are a breeze to work .. thats the beauty of grunge I imagine... as long as it looks trashed - it fits!!!

I'm also thrilled to have several surfaces like wood grain and metal plate to work with from Kaisercraft. I imagine these papers will be good ones to cross over with other collections and use as solid core products.
I hope you manage to get your hands on some for a play!
Cheers from Kel.

Saturday Sketch #2 July 2012

This week I have used the Chapter One Collection for my sketch interpretation ... this is an older collection but a classic none the less! And Kaisercraft are about to release a whole pack of gorgeous coordinating collectables that will be sure to breath new life into this bright and beautiful  collection.
In this layout I have teamed up the Chapter One papers and collectables with some black rhinestones and a cute little chicken wire mask.

I didn't follow the sketch 100% as all the little squares were a bit bulky for my imagination, so I just sliped in an other flourish instead!...old habits die hard I guess!! LOL.
Here's the sketch it's based on...

Thanks for dropping by for a look! Smiles from Kel.

Miss Match Cards

This set of Miss Match Cards all came from one piece of paper ... a couple of embellishments added for effect and they came together quickly and easily in the end... I thought this collection was kind of strange in the beginning with all the variety of patterns and colours, but now I'm really enjoying the challenge of mixing them up and working with them.
Thanks for dropping to look...

One More Miss Match Layout

This was the first Layout I did using the lovely Miss Match Collection, and it remains my favourite... I love that it is all flowery and girly without being overpoweringly pink ... I'm a HUGE fan of the deep peach colours in this collection. As you can see I also had a bit of an uncontrolable moment with pearl embellishments ... nothing quite beats the look of a nice pearl flourish! LOL
Anyway, this LO is mostly built on layering, you can see the foreground consists of the girl on the swing and all the wood flourishes, next the stamped border contains all the background layers. This is a great technique for getting lots of beautiful papers into one layout... I encourage people to give it try!
Thanks for visiting... smiles from Kel.

Saturday Sketch #1 July 2012

I have used the lovely 'Miss Match' collection to create my layout for this weeks Saturday Sketch over at the Kaisercraft Blog... I never used to like banners, but I'm really warming to them now!! LOL I've  also used kaisercraft buttons and the butterfly stamps from the Tigerlilly collection.

And here is the sketch it was based on...

Thanks for stopping by for a look!

Miss Match Layout

Introducing the new 'Miss Match' collection from Kaisercraft. This collection is very well named ... the papers in this layout are the most flowery pinks I could find in this range, but there are also loads of greens, mustards and blues in this collection too ... quite the 'Miss Match' indeed!
This collection is also choc-a-block full of cute embellishments like the bingo cards you can see tucked in here and there on the layout. The main flower is one of the beautiful pink country garden roses from Manor House Creations and finally you can also see I've used my new favourite wood flourishes ... the small hinges ... how cute are these little guys!! LOL
Thanks for dropping by for a look.
