Check-In Cards

Well there was no getting around the 'travel' nature of the Check-In collection when it came to making cards with these fun new papers and embellishments ... fortunately for me I know LOTS of people who travel these days so a few 'Bon Voyage' cards will never go astray in my card box! LOL.
Once again the Acetate embellishments were the heros here,
making designing all these cards SUPER easy!!

Thanks for dropping by for a look...

Check-In Layout

This layout made using the new 'Check-In' paper collection came as a bit of a surprise to me ... when I first saw the collection I was struggling with what to do with it ... I don't travel ... with 6 kids in tow all I do is cook and clean!!
But I was trilled to find many of the quotes in the collection had generic meanings and could be used even in non-travel related subjects ... so as it turns out this was one of the easiest pages I've had the pleasure of putting together in ages! And thanks to all the acetate embellishments it all fell together without much effort on my part at all! LOL
Thanks for stopping by for a look. Smiles from Kel xo.

Saturday Sketch #2 June 2012

My entry for this weeks Saturday Sketch was made using the 'Check-In' collection.  I don't really travel due to having lots of pretty young kids and  I'm amazed how versatile this collection is regardless of the photos that one chooses to use ... this isn't a travel photo at all,
but the papers work beautifully with it none the less.

I'm loving all the new wood flourishes that Kaisercraft have released lately also and as you can see I couldn't help myself in regards to them when it came to embellishing this LO!! My new favourite though would have to be those small hinges ... they are SUPER cute!

Watching Tim Holtz demonstrate at the craft expo on the weekend was sooooo inspiring that I couldn't resist adding a few safety pins to finish things off ... thanks for all the cool ideas Tim!
