Sat. Sketch #2 Jan 2013

For this weeks Saturday Sketch over at the Kaisercraft Blog I have used the Marigold Collection.

I really enjoyed this weeks sketch... of course I took quite a simple sketch and went as over the top as I could with my embellies .... what can I say ... I do what I love, and I love to do that! LOL

Here is the sketch that the layout is based on:

One of the main features on this page is the masking in that doily pattern ... I adore this template from kaisercraft and I have used some of their divine white ink to create the mask on the dark background paper ... this is a stunning effect that I was thrilled with in the end.
I can highly recommend the Kaisercraft white ink ...
It's best I've ever used in regards to quality and opaqueness.

I've really enjoyed working with these Marigold papers but I'm looking forward to trying out another collection now... fortunately for me Kaisercraft have 3 new collections this month...
soon to increase to 4 new collections every month! What an awesome challenge
ROTFL...
I'm seriously not sure if I'll be able to keep up, but I'm gonna give it a good try!!

Thanks for stopping by for a look
Smiles from Kel.

Pickled Pear Layout

Today I have another Layout using the Pickled Pear Collection this time I just had a bit of fun creating a nice place in the 'garden' to sit this photo in ... that was the effect I was going for anyway!

The flowers are some lovely lemon ones that Manor House Creations put out a while ago ... I must admit I love these flowers with the Pickled Pear collection.

The little resin tulips are just something I found on ebay ... I'm really enjoying all the bit and pieces that are popping up at the moment in resin, it's a great medium for scrapbooks, adding dimension without too much weight!

Thanks for stoping for a look.
Cheers from Kel.

Just Believe Layout

Today I have MORE Christmas papers from Kaisercraft to show you! The Just Believe Collection is so much more than just Christmas though ... these beautiful Red Rose themed papers are classic and would be comfortable used on a layout any time of the year with any theme!

I have stuck to the traditional here though and done another Christmas Layout ... as you can tell, I'm having a bit of a love affair with brass embellishments at the moment!

The other Hero of this page is those gorgeous sprays of red pearls. I did try using a pearl pen, but in the end I discovered nothing says Christmas like some shiny metallic finish pearls!

Thanks for looking.
Smiles from Kel.

Sat. Sketch #2 Sep 2012

Well the Saturday Sketch for this week was a hard one ... lots of stripes!! And to make it just that bit harder on myself I was determined to use another of the Christmas ranges to create a non Christmas layout!!!???[rolls eyes at self] LOL

So for this NON-CHRISTMAS  layout I have used the 'Mint Twist' Collection  ... And I'm not afraid to say I found this a real challenge! But I'm happy with the results, so I guess alls well that ends well.

Here is the sketch its all based on...

Saturday Sketch #2 July 2012

This week I have used the Chapter One Collection for my sketch interpretation ... this is an older collection but a classic none the less! And Kaisercraft are about to release a whole pack of gorgeous coordinating collectables that will be sure to breath new life into this bright and beautiful  collection.
In this layout I have teamed up the Chapter One papers and collectables with some black rhinestones and a cute little chicken wire mask.

I didn't follow the sketch 100% as all the little squares were a bit bulky for my imagination, so I just sliped in an other flourish instead!...old habits die hard I guess!! LOL.
Here's the sketch it's based on...

Thanks for dropping by for a look! Smiles from Kel.

It was perfect for these bright and vibrant photos of my husband daughter with Rianbow lorikeets on their heads!
