Charoltte's Dream Masculine Layout

A bit more of a masculine layout this time, made again from the Charlotte's Dream collection. I must apologise for the poor quality of the photo here, I'm having issues with my camera and am currently negotiating with Nikon for a replacement, still not sure how that will work out, but in the mean time I'm stuck with these sub-standard photos!!
Anyway.... one of my fav. things about this LO is the background ... this is a piece of Gloss Varnish paper made by Kaisercraft and as you can see when you rub ink over the edges the gloss varnish patterns  resist the ink and creates this wonderful verigated colour effect on the normal paper ... it's a fabulous effect!! Smiles from Kel.

Saturday Sketch #1 April 2012

Another Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch ... this time I've used the super cute Lil' Primrose paper collection and some of the gorgeous Kaisercraft gross grain ribbon, there's also a bit of bling in there, but the multiple boarders ment that I didn't really need to do much more embellishing beyond what the sketch suggested. And here is the sketch....

You can enter any of the Saturday Sketches that Kaisercraft run per month and you will have all month to put any ( or all ) of the layouts together ... click HERE if you would like to see the post for this Sat. Sketch, or click HERE to be taken to their main Blog. Go on give it a go ... smiles from Kel.

Charoltte's Dream Lay Out

My first Layout made using the beautiful new 'Charlotte's Dream' Collection from Kaisercraft ... how etherel these papers are ... very 'dreamy' indeed. The browns and pinks are perfect for heritage photos, but I was thrilled to see how well my baby photos also looked with this range ... perfect for my dainty little Abby! The collection very much was made to focus on Mothers Day with lots of die-cut words like 'mother', 'love' and 'forever' ... but it was very easy to cut off just enough to turn the word 'Mother' into 'her'! LOL
This collection reminds me a lot of the 'Sweet Nothings' paper range, which also has these divine subtle shades and patterns buried deep in their designs, the two collections will marry together perfectly I image ... that might need to be my next 'challenge'!!?
cheers from Kel.

Kaisercraft March Sketch #5

Ok so I couldn't resist entering one more sketch ... in fact I think I'll do them every Saturday as I enjoy the challenge so much! LOL.  This is the sketch I based the layout on, but I turned it once to the right...

For this layout I used a mixture of papers from the 'Great Southern Land' and 'Tigerlilly' collection, KC blooms and some 'Gypsy Sisters' Rub-on. And of course Bling ... more bling than you can poke a stick at!! LOL

Kaisercraft March Sketch #4

This is a layout I made from the 'Seaside' paper collection to enter in the Kaisercraft monthly sketch competition that they run on their blog ... so here is the sketch...

The original layout that the sketch was based on was all very girly and featured butterflies, so I thought I would swing in the other direction and go for a boy orientated layout with a bird feature.
It's always a challenge to work on a male layout as I have so many butterflies and flowers floating around in my head! I'll have to take this approach more often ... I would like to learn how to properly adopt the shabby chic style to all things masculine .... watch this space to see if I succeed!! LOL

One more Tigerlilly Layout...

So I just couldn't resist having one more go at those gorgeous Tigerlilly papers... and a good friend gave me some of this very cool white gauze to use in a layout ... I love the look of it so I was more than happy to use it in this layout of my daughter and her best friend ... I've also wedged a cameo in there for good measure just because they are HOT HOT HOT at the moment ( I'm such a fashion victim!! LOL). As you can see I'm still having a love affair with butterflies, flowers and flourishes : )

I'm on a DT!! The Australian Scrapbook Ideas Magazine.

I'm soooooo thrilled to formally announce that I am now on the design team for the Australian Scrapbook Ideas magazine. You can check out my very first feature in Issue number 13 that has just been released ... For this issue I designed 3 double layouts all with a holiday theme ... below are the layouts.

In the magazine there are complete material lists and instructions on how to make all of these layouts. Mind you the whole magazine is stuffed full of inspiring layouts, so make sure you get yourself a copy if you are able.

I have been having a ball doing more projects for the magazine and you will see my work again in future issues. Thank you so much to all the people who have supported me and encouraged me over the last few years with my scrapbooking, you know who you are ... xoxo. HUGE Smiles from Kel.
