Saturday Sketch #4 August 2012

For this Saturday Sketch I've used the Timeless Collection from Kaisercraft . It is based on this sketch:

This was a GREAT sketch ... I really liked the format! But if the truth were to be told about the REAL inspiration for this layout I would have to confess that I had just been at a Craft Fair where I made 3 exciting purchases ...
The first was the Martha Stauart round the page punch you can see here, the second was the Tim Holtz die cut plate that cut all the flowers and leaf embellishments on this page and the last was a simple tool that makes tying the perfect bow a breeze... so as you can see this whole page was totally driven by my over whelming need to play with my new toys LOL
I LOVE scrapbooking!

One More Miss Match Layout

This was the first Layout I did using the lovely Miss Match Collection, and it remains my favourite... I love that it is all flowery and girly without being overpoweringly pink ... I'm a HUGE fan of the deep peach colours in this collection. As you can see I also had a bit of an uncontrolable moment with pearl embellishments ... nothing quite beats the look of a nice pearl flourish! LOL
Anyway, this LO is mostly built on layering, you can see the foreground consists of the girl on the swing and all the wood flourishes, next the stamped border contains all the background layers. This is a great technique for getting lots of beautiful papers into one layout... I encourage people to give it try!
Thanks for visiting... smiles from Kel.

Miss Match Layout

Introducing the new 'Miss Match' collection from Kaisercraft. This collection is very well named ... the papers in this layout are the most flowery pinks I could find in this range, but there are also loads of greens, mustards and blues in this collection too ... quite the 'Miss Match' indeed!
This collection is also choc-a-block full of cute embellishments like the bingo cards you can see tucked in here and there on the layout. The main flower is one of the beautiful pink country garden roses from Manor House Creations and finally you can also see I've used my new favourite wood flourishes ... the small hinges ... how cute are these little guys!! LOL
Thanks for dropping by for a look.
Smiles from Kelly-ann.

Saturday Sketch #1 June 2012

Made from the divine new 'The Lakehouse' paper collection by Kaisercraft , this weeks sketch was a breeze to knock up ... I just LOVE all these colours, the pinks and greens are a real weakness for me in scrapbooking ... I'm in very real danger of dying from too much pink! LOL But when you are onto a good thing, I say stick to it! In any case I very much enjoyed doing this page ... you can never have enough photos of the whole family when it comes to scrapbook albums!
Smiles from Kel.

Saturday Sketch #3 May

For this weeks sketch I have used the Magnolia Grove paper collection again, but this time I just focused in on all the soft blues and greens in the paper range. This photo was always going to be difficult to scrap with all those colours going on in there ( maybe I should have printed it in black and white?!!) so I focused on a soft page to highlight and frame the photo itself.
And here is the sketch it was all based on...

As you can see I flipped the image over for my sketch and also added an enormous amount of extra everything ... just the way I like my scrapbooking pages!!! LOL If you would like to give the sketch a try, THIS is the link to the Kaisercraft Blog where you can find the challenge ...Good Luck.

Charlotte's Dream & Wood Flourishes

I couldn't resist doing one more layout with the beautiful Charlotte's Dream Paper collection ... this time I also used some of the lovely wood flourishes that Kaisercraft are becoming famous for, a bit of stitching, stamping and a few stickers and here we are. Oh how this photo makes me laugh ... how young I was once!! Another thing that makes me laugh with this layout is the distinct missing 'r' from the word formal ... this is sooooo typical of me, I charge straight into it and completely miss important bits of the process ... usually I fix everything before I photograph or blog, but this one I didn't want to ... this one felt more honestly like me! LOL
Cheers from Kel.

Saturday Sketch #4 April 2012

Well for this Saturday Sketch I've gone right off the map... LOL ... I started with the basic layout of the sketch, but as I worked out my photos and the 'feel' of the page it kind of took off on a life for it's own and evolved as such! This is my 6th baby so I'm kind of over the 'water splash's' of my first few baby bath layouts, and also being the 4th girl I'm keen to use different colours in this album rather than the avalanche of pink that I traditionally have ... so I settled on Blue for bath time. The stamp I have used for the flourishes is an oldie but a goldie ... from the 'Rewind' collection ... I adore this flourish stamp!

And here is the original Sketch:

And below you will find a few close ups....

One more Tigerlilly Layout...

So I just couldn't resist having one more go at those gorgeous Tigerlilly papers... and a good friend gave me some of this very cool white gauze to use in a layout ... I love the look of it so I was more than happy to use it in this layout of my daughter and her best friend ... I've also wedged a cameo in there for good measure just because they are HOT HOT HOT at the moment ( I'm such a fashion victim!! LOL). As you can see I'm still having a love affair with butterflies, flowers and flourishes : )

Tigerlilly Layout

Welcome to my new favourite collection from Kaisercraft.... 'Tigerlilly' .... pinks, reds, flourishes and butterflies - I'm in heaven!!!  And I must admit that the die cuts pack for this collection is extremely generous this time around ... there are more butterflies, flowers and flourishes than you can poke a stick at!!
In this layout I have used lots of die cuts from the collectables pack as well as lace doilies, mini paper blooms, Rub-ons and the coordinating stamps. Yum!
