NATIONAL THANKS DAD COMP.
Ok ...so if a person cannot show off in their own Blog ...then where can they show off?? So here I am again with another first place layout.... This time I won the National 'Thanks Day' scrapbooking competition. This was particularly exciting for me as it is the second year in row I have won it .... it's kind of like retaining ones crown in the miss universe competition ....well not really , but hey, it feel good to win something! It surprised me a bit, as I also entered another layout with this one, which I though was even better, but apparently this one was the more fetching of the two.... you never know what they looking for eh!
LAYLOUTS BY TRISHA
These layouts were made by Trisha Needham from Casino ....she is only a beginner scrapbooker, but look at the awesome stuff she has already done ... We are all very impressed Trish , keep up the amazing work!

FIRST PLACE!
I just had to pop this layout here at the top again as it won first palce at the Casino Show this year (Single Layout section). The local show is such a great community event - our whole family spent most of the day at the show and it didn't even cost a fortune!! We did have huge fun though!

Jane's JOY!
This is a lovely Kaisercraft JOY monologue that has been beautifully decorated by Jane from Casino. This particular Beyond the page project has been widely used as a Christmas decoration, but upon seeing this sitting on a shelf in Jane's home I was struck by how versatile it really is as a decoration for any occasion!! Of course Jane is quite a clever cookie and has done a spectacular job of it ...great work Jane ....we want more!
Open Album By Cassie.
This Haning open album from Kaiser was decorated by Cassie from Kyogle (is it just me or is there some amazing stuff coming out of Kyogle?).... This album traditionally hangs down the wall, but Cassie has turned it on it's side to suit her photos better ....clever girl! Cassie created this wonderful keepsake as a gift for her Father, and what daddy wouldn't be proud of this beautiful beyond the page project.... Well done Cassie, it turned out wonderfully.

DAD CLOCK BY HARLEY
So look what Harley made now!! Harly is two and a half years old and with a bit of help from his mum, he mananged to paint up this gorgeous clock for his dad for fathers day. It was soooo much fun watching Harley pick all the coloured paints and then the stuff to stick on it, and his amazing mother realy did let him have a free hand when it came to painting the clock. In true 2 yeard old style he used HEAPS of paint and the final effect of all the colours running together looks quite effective I think! Well done Jo and Harley!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY
This wonderful 'DAD' clock was made by my son Noah to give to his Dad on fathers day .... what a clever little 6 year old he is!! OK......... so I may have helped him a LITTLE ..... but he did choose all the bits and bobs that went into decorating the clock, and he stuck pretty much everything on himself, as well as colouring the edges while I inked some at the same time. Dad of course loved it and I immidately stole it to take photos of! The Clock is a recent release of Kaisercrafts and at a whopping $9.95 to buy it's the perfect gift to let the kids make up for Dad ...of course Fathers day is behind us now, but hey ...Christmas is right around the corner!

Check out these great hanging albums made by Sarah. She made them for her niece and nephew as house warming prezies to hang on their doors ...how tricky hey!! They are mostly all Kaisercraft and turned out amazingly well. Sarah lives WAY out of town and does not have the Internet, so lucky me, I get to pop her work up here in the FAMA Blog.... SOME LAYOUTS BY HELEN
These are some lovely layouts done by HELEN .... Helen WHO? I hear you ask ...and that's an excellent question ...I don't actually know ... what I do know is that Helen lives at the end of the street, she comes and scraps once a week with myself and Kerri (who shot through to America last month leaving us all high and dry), I know she's married to Jim, and obviously she has some kids ....two gorgeous twin girls included in that generalisation!! Anyway regardless of her last name, she's done some FANTASTIC pages for a beginner and I felt they really deserved to be shown. She is a very clever cookie and these layouts have all been created with Kaisercraft products . Well done Helen....you are a star ... or at least you would be if we knew who you really are!!

ADORABLE
This is a double page layout I did of my daughter preforming in a school dance .... I'm not a huge fan of this extreem green paper, but I was thrilled with how the whole thing turned out in the end. Once more it's made almost entirely from Kaisercraft products. I will be adding journaling on the bottom of the right hand side page eventually.....
Oct update: I did add journaling and this layout won second place in the Casino Aggricultural Show scrapbooking comp.

Mosaic Mirrors
I Made these mirros yesterday.... the large flower (which stands almost a meter tall) was donated to the school for a fund raising auction and I made the two smaller ones simply because I could not help myself!!
When I asked my elderly father what he thought of the large flower mirror he graciously pointed out that if I droped and broke it, at least it would still look normal!!

LET"S SWAP!
Recently I participated in a
'Scrapbook
Trading
Layout'
(STL) with a lovely lady named Sherry Mendoza.
She also has her own blog that is well worth taking a look at: http://scrapbooktradingplace.blogspot.com/
Anyway, we both sent each other a photo via e-mail and then scrapbooked it onto an actual page and then sent them back to the original owner via snail mail.... and this is the result.... Above you can see the layout I did for Sherry and below is the layout that she did for me. Heaps of FUN!

BENTLEY ART PRIZE
Recently I entered this lay out in the Bentley Art Prize and managed to recieve a Highly Commended award, it's a very busy page where I mostly used stamping and opals embossed on chipboard. The flower made from paisley swirls was an idea I scraplifted off a card that Tanya (from scrap n craft with T) had made ages ago. Bright paper and lots of white flourish rubons help to make this layout quite loud and happy .... much like the subjects themselves in the photos!!

BABY FACE
This was a pretty simple Layout that I did for our recent 'Big Day In' where we all got together and scrapbooked all day for hours on end! Thanks to the buttons, lace and pastle tones of the papers it is a very soft layout (although this photo is a bit on the weak side!). I designed it to be simple and easy to replocate. The kits to make this whole page (with heaps of papers left over) worked out at only $7.45each!

ANOTHER WINNER....
I made this hanging keepsake for a friends little boy for his second birthday .... If you have ever had a little one in day care or preschool you will know they bring home an inordinate amount of 'artwork'! It's customary in our home to display this for at least a week before it mysteriously disapears (into the bin!). Sometime if its a really special work of art, it will stay on display for ages ... having somewhere to display it is the real challenge. Hence the dog clips on this BTP project. This was originally a floral hanging keepsake, that Kaiser make, it has 3 MDF flowers hanging from the bottom, so really I just replaced them with the clips.
It won a place in the June Beyond The Page competition that Kaisercraft ran on the forum. This was a real buzz.
It's made using all Kaisercraft products - the lettering, the rubons, the papers and even the painted little wooden puppy and cat!

SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT!
I made this Kaisercraft 'handbag' up after seeing one like it on the kaisercraft forum that I just fell in love with. I ADORE these papers and this little handbag turned out just divinely. There are some REALLY clever designers over there in the Kaiser forum, do yourself a favour and go and check it out..... http://www.kaisercraft.net/forum/index.php . I also made up a kit so you can make this whole thing for yourself ... everything is included - paint, glue, brushes, papers, flowers, ribbons and bling!! All for only $19.95!

BROTHER AND SISTER
ABBY GIRL
Shes such a cute little pixie! This photo was taken when she was only 3 months old, now she is one and a half and has just began to speak, she points at her breakfast cereal and says ‘lollies’, she points at her water cup and says lollies, she points at her grandpa and says lollies ...life has thus far taught her, that approximately a third of the time you will get what you want!!

BEST BUDS
ADORE
This is a photo of my 'big' girl- Kiah, with her little sister. They are looking particularly gorgeous in this shot! Again, every thing on the page is pretty much Kaiser product except the ruby red bazzill and the hole punch I used to punch out the butterflies with!! This page is extreemly simple ... it's an easy one to copy!!
You can buy a kit to make this page for only $9.90!

LILLY GIRL
This is my lilly girl, she looks quite innocent in this photo, but let me asure you, she most certianly is not innocent! She is infact comepletly guilty of just about any thing and everthing a 3 year old can be guilty of! Again, this whole paper range, most of the the rub-ons and the rhinestones come from the Kaisercraft collection.

BABY ABBY
This is my baby girl. I used all Kaisercraft products to create this layout ...the paper, border, rub-ons, Rhinestones, pearls and the wood flourish. The Ribbon is the only non-Kaiser thing. The graduating colours in the ribbon give it a wonderful dimentional look - they should definately make more ribbon like this! (don't ask me who 'they' are mind you).

TRUE LOVE
This is another in the set of my family photos. This was quite an easy layout to do as it really only consists of two strips of striped paper, and the plain paper that I cut the tags and title from. A few Kaiser rub-ons and Epoxy brads added to this mix and your laughing!
