Sat. Sketch #2 Nov 2012

I was a little behind in my sketches so I'm doing them back to back to catch up!
This time I have used  the new Merry & Bright Collection to complete this sketch.

This is supposed to be a Christmas collection, but as you'll see from my next few posts you can get away with using this one on any theme. In fact I have not used this collection in a Christmas format at all in any of the projects I have been making with this range. It has a lovely oriental feel to it so thats the theme I've gone with as I'm all Christmased out now!!

I actually found the sketch a bit busy so I scaled the activity back for my layout ... which is not like me I know - but sometimes you have to try something different! LOL

Here is the sketch it's based on...

Thanks for taking time to drop by for a look.
Cheers from Kelly-ann

Sat. Sketch #1 Nov 2012

For this Sat. Sketch I've used the 365 Days Collection ... this is a calendar collection, but a calendar is the only thing I haven't made with these lovely papers... yet!! LOL
I love this photo of my son... he couldn't actually play the guitar at this stage ... but he sure looked cool with it!
I have to take a second to thank Kaisercraft who now have sooooo many wood flourish shapes available that I could even find something as obscure as a guitar wood flourish to compliment this photo!

It was all based on this sketch:

Pickled Pear Paper Pad Gift Box

h

So today I challenge you to say the title to this post 10 times as fast as you can! Bhahahahaahah

Now that we have had a good laugh, I just wanted to share with you this groovy little gift box made from 2 bits of paper from the paper pad found in the Pickled Pear Collection

These simple boxes are so easy to make... I'll have to film a tutorial on how to do it as the Kaisercraft paper pads are just perfect for making these with.

It consists of two bits of paper folded in such a way that they fit together snuggly. Then I've stuck a length of ribbon to the bottom box that can tie up over the top, a few bits and bobs for decoration latter there you have an easy made gift box.

Tis the season to start thinking of these things ... I love this time of year in the blog world, now is the time we will start to see some really cool ideas pop up on blogs ... keep your eyes peeled folks! LOL

Pickled Pear Cards

Today I'm sharing some cards I have made from The Pickled Pear Collection ... just simple cards really, I used the paper pad, the collectables and some string ... not really much at all, but the cards are lovely and earthy and I'm sure will sell well on my little market stall.

I see some AMAZING cards out there in the blogosphere that totally inspire me, and probably the one person who has inspired me the most lately has been my mate Hilary from New Zealand... if you are able to you should definitely pop over and check out her work, she has a completely faithful style, constantly producing high quality beautiful projects that reflect her own love for paper craft.

Thanks for stoping by for a look.

Pickled Pear Layout

Today I have another Layout using the Pickled Pear Collection this time I just had a bit of fun creating a nice place in the 'garden' to sit this photo in ... that was the effect I was going for anyway!

The flowers are some lovely lemon ones that Manor House Creations put out a while ago ... I must admit I love these flowers with the Pickled Pear collection.

The little resin tulips are just something I found on ebay ... I'm really enjoying all the bit and pieces that are popping up at the moment in resin, it's a great medium for scrapbooks, adding dimension without too much weight!

Thanks for stoping for a look.
Cheers from Kel.

Sat. Sketch #4 Oct 2012

Oh my gosh I'm loving this new Pickled Pear Collection ... that has totally taken me by surprise... normally I'm drawn to all the pretty bright things like the Butterfly Kisses Collection , a by product of having 4 gorgeous girls to scrapbook I suppose ... but over the last few weeks of using this collection I've myself completely loving it ... all the beautiful rich earthy colours are just divine.

This is what I love the most about designing with all the kaisercraft collections, it challenges me to work with papers I would not normal be attracted to, and low and behold I find a new favourite in the most unexpected places. LOL

This layout was based on the sketch below ...
I'm a bit late this time with the sketch, but hey ... better late than never!!\

Thanks for looking ... cheers from Kel.

Butterfly Kisses Cards

Oh my gosh I LOVE the Butterfly Kisses Collection ... how bright and fun they all are!!
These cards were a joy to make ... and between you and I just could have kept going ... it would be so easy to knock up a dozen cards using these coordinating elements.

Everything bright and beautiful is contained in these papers and I'm really drawn to them ... the only flaw in the collection is that they really are made for girls!!

I think the only collection I like more for card making was the 'Save the Date Collection' as that was very age and gender neutral ... buy hey .... this one is coming in a VERY close second!! LOL
