Sat. Sketch #3 Jan 2013

So for this weeks Saturday Sketch over at the Kaisercraft Blog I have used the
Botanical Odyssey Collection ... This is the sketch that the layout is based on...

Now I know what you are thinking .... that looks NOTHING like the sketch! LOL

TRUE ... I started with the basics...which you might be able to see if you tilt this sketch once to the right... then I decided that i didn't want to cut my photos so instead of circles I left them rectangles and then i couldn't help myself with the embellishments, it just kind of got out of control... the sketch was long forgotten and I just ran with it after that! he he he!!

The flowers are from manor House and the die cut flourish is a Cherry Lynn Designes die ... beside that I've just with the collectables, paper pad and papers from the Botanical Odyssey Collection.

Thanks for stopping by for a look...
Cheers from Kelly-ann.

Sat. Sketch #1 Oct 2012

For this Saturday Sketch I have used the beautiful new Butterfly Kisses Collection. This was a fun sketch and not a style I usually find myself drawn to so it was a good challenge for me!
The flowers are Manor House and of course the rest is all Kaisercraft.

Sat. Sketch #3 Sep. 2012

For this weeks Saturday Sketch I have used the beautiful new Turtle Dove Collection... How divine these rich traditional colours are... this particular collection embodies everything I love about Christmas. It has a bit of the modern mixed with a touch of the traditional English Christmas.

For this layout I knew I was going to have to make something a bit special as this photo of my little one is soooo bad ... its a bit fuzzy, the top of her head is missing and the flash has over exposed the whole thing ... but I LOVED this photo, I remember how fascinated my little girl was with the angles on the Christmas tree, so I was determined to use it!

 I call this technique
'Making a Mountain out of a Molehill'!

My theory here is that it doesn't matter how bad your original photo is if you build the feel of the theme you are presenting with your layout then then the photo will look fabulous anyway....
I'll let you know how that theory works out LOL...
Have a great weekend

This is the Sketch the layout was based on.

Miss Match Layout

Introducing the new 'Miss Match' collection from Kaisercraft. This collection is very well named ... the papers in this layout are the most flowery pinks I could find in this range, but there are also loads of greens, mustards and blues in this collection too ... quite the 'Miss Match' indeed!
This collection is also choc-a-block full of cute embellishments like the bingo cards you can see tucked in here and there on the layout. The main flower is one of the beautiful pink country garden roses from Manor House Creations and finally you can also see I've used my new favourite wood flourishes ... the small hinges ... how cute are these little guys!! LOL
Thanks for dropping by for a look.
Smiles from Kelly-ann.

Saturday Sketch #4 May

So for this Saturday Sketch I have used the new 'Timeless' papers. I also tipped the sketch once to the left. This was such a lovely layout to make, I take a great deal of pleasure in scrapping my friends as well as my family so this wedding shot of our close friends was a joy to work with! For me nothing screams Wedding quite like lace and ribbon ... and that wooden flourish is my favourite of all time! LOL. The flower is the only 'other' product on the page as it's a Manor House Bloom.
Thanks for looking... smiles from Kel.
